Senior batman J P Duminy has not contributed much for the team with the bat and his sketchy form has affected the Daredevils rhythm. It’s a big ground as well so there’s a certain way both teams will need to adapt and play. “We have to match that performance”. “The important thing is that we stay focused and we stay positive”, he added.

Assessing the opposition further, he elaborated, “We know that their openers are very strong, the way their left-handed bowlers bowl”.

The inconsistent Delhi Daredevils will take on table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad in their penultimate IPL match in a must-win clash at Raipur on Friday. “So that is an advantage for us”. Or we can look at playing a spinner.

Daredevils surprised everyone with their superb start, as Zaheer Khan & Co. won five of their first seven matches.
