Suns suspend Markieff Morris 2 games for ‘conduct detrimental to the team’
The Phoenix Suns have suspended embattled forward Markieff Morris two games for throwing a towel at head coach Jeff Hornacek during the Suns’ 104-96 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night, according to Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania. The Suns are 12-19 and are once again probably not going to make the Western Conference Playoffs.

“That’s between me and “H” (Hornaceck)”, Morris told the Arizona Republic. Hornacek then tossed the towel back at Morris with his own angered comments. I look at the stat sheet. In the offseason, Morris asked to be traded after the Suns traded his twin brother, Marcus, to the Detroit Pistons.
“Show me.” Morris is having a nightmare season and can be left on waivers in most leagues. Morris averaged 16.3 minutes per contest over the Suns’ past four games, scoring 7.8 points and shooting a dismal 33.3 percent from the field. Morris threw a tantrum and a towel at coach Jeff Hornacek. So there, I took him out…He thinks he’s better than that. “It’s not for media”. He will not be allowed to play in the December 26 game versus Philadelphia 76ers or in the December 28 game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Morris’ name already was one of the biggest swirling in National Basketball Association trade rumors.
