‘Super blood moon’ just super in Edmonton
“The rarity of the super moon and the eclipse is unusual”, said Jerome Jooste, chair of the Astronomical Society in Johannesburg. It’s called a super blood moon.

Thirdly, this Blood Moon is unique because it will be a super moon, which is when the moon is closest to earth in its orbit.
And second, Revelation 6:12, “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great natural disaster; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood”.
A total lunar eclipse will grace the skies over Murfreesboro on September 27th, and people will be able to watch it from beginning to end right here in the Middle Tennessee area. Now people know that these are just normal events in the clockwork of the solar system, things which have occurred regularly for thousands of years and which will occur for thousands of years into the future.
Those who want to catch a glimpse of the super moon eclipse will want to go outside and look to the eastern sky. The eclipse, called a Blood Moon or a Harvest Moon, is unique because it is the fourth in a lunar tetrad, which is four blood moons in a row.
A full lunar eclipse combined with a super moon hasn’t happened since 1982 and won’t happen again until 2033. “Sometimes it only shows that half shadow over it”, he said.
The full beauty of the eclipse, in which an eerie blood red effect is created, unfolded from 1.10am in the United Kingdom, with the “total” phase – when the moon is completely in shadow – lasting from 3.11am to 4.24am.
“The lunar eclipse can be seen across the whole of Africa”, Jooste said.
