In an interview with Rolling Stone, the frontman talked about working alongside Beyoncé for Super Bowl 50, admitting that Beyoncé had once before turned down the opportunity to be featured on Coldplay’s song “Hook Up”.
Meanwhile fans took to social media to express their outrage and advocated boycotting the Super Bowl, accusing her of spreading an anti-cop message which only serves to further divide communities. What did you think of the halftime performance?
Musician Jenn Miller said: #BoycottBeyonce = I wish black people would just entertain me instead of standing up for #BlackLivesMatter + being proud of their culture’. It is not known how many people will attend. “I wanted people to feel proud and have love for themselves”, she added, thanking a reporter for his praise of the new track.
