Super Bowl 50: First Look at Coldplay’s Halftime Show

Bruno Mars will join Beyoncé on the field for a major moment during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show. The shark became famous for his out of time dance moves.

Beyoncé, who collaborated with Coldplay on the 2015 track “Hymn for the Weekend”, also previously performed at the Super Bowl in 2013.

“I think we’re firmly spit down the middle between those of us who know absolutely nothing about football and those of us who know nearly absolutely nothing about football”, said Jonny Buckland, the lead guitarist and band co-founder.

“The way we’ve done that is looking to the future by asking these kids from YOLA – Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, ” explained Martin.

“She said, ‘How are you feeling about the Super Bowl?’ I said, ‘Of course we’re a little bit nervous.’ [And] she said, ‘Dad, the worst that could happen is that you’ll get turned into a meme'”.

Despite no new album or USA tour past year, sales of Perry’s existing work surged 92 percent in the week after her performance. When prompted about the incident and a possible similar “shark” issue affecting Coldplay’s performance, Martin said, reported Yahoo News: “It’s a hard question to answer”.

But they reiterated they are big Beyonce fans.

When a reporter asked Chris if his children, Apple and Moses, would watch, he said: “I hope they’ll watch”.

Martin expressed that anyone who does this halftime show knows that this is the biggest honor and privilege ever and they just want to make it enjoyable.

“We decided we wanted to make it about togetherness, acceptance and the things we believe in”.
