The NFL will crown a champion Sunday night on CBS 58, as Super Bowl 50 pits the Carolina Panthers against the Denver Broncos at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California in what might be the most anticipated sporting event of its generation.

I think one of the biggest stories of the Super Bowl is the Panthers defensive line against the Broncos offensive line, and I think the Panthers line will win that and put a lot of pressure on Peyton, who’s basically made of balsa wood at this point and would probably fracture his spine if he sneezed too hard.

Manning and the Broncos are hopeful to send their quarterback into the sunset in style, ending his career with the ultimate prize like fellow Broncos’ quarterback John Elway. And in the previous 49 Super Bowls, teams that commit fewer turnovers are 36-4. He lost two fumbles, threw an interception and failed to produce a touchdown for the only time this season.
Manning’s 18th – and perhaps final – season has been his most challenging.
Carolina Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman has been the general manager of the team for three seasons and has three consecutive NFC South titles since taking over. While backup Brock Osweiler filled in, Manning missed six games because of a partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot. The real wild horses in the Broncos’ stable are DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller and all the other guys on the vaunted Denver D. “It’s one of those deals when you’re fortunate enough to be in a winning program, ” Gettleman said of the Broncos.
