Super bowl champ Tyler sash dies at 27

In a statement mentioned in the Yahoo Sports report, the Giants said that they are grieving for Sash’s death. So, it was a tragedy – it is a tragedy – and I can not explain how saddened I am by his loss, and his loss of hope.

Tyler Sash, who helped lead Iowa to an Orange Bowl victory in 2010 and was part of the Giants Super Bowl championship team in 2011, has died at the age of 27.

While Woody credits his wife, Hannah Woody, for allowing him to see his worth, he wished someone had done the same for Sash. He was suspended for the first few games of that season for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy and was cut by the Giants before the 2013 season.

“We kind of keep telling him that (the “Sash is Trash” theme) just to keep him levelheaded”, said Anderson an Oskaloosa grad and accounting and finance major at ISU.

He later pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined $65. Sash was 27 years old.

“The players really enjoyed Tyler Sash”, he said.

How very sad. New York Giants fans are feeling mighty blue today.

Coach Tom Coughlin mentioned Sash at the start of his press conference.

Former Iowa running back Paki O’Meara described Sash as a quiet guy who was enthusiastic on game day.

In the 2009 Iowa-Iowa State game at Jack Trice Stadium, Sash picked off three passes and the Hawkeyes ran away from ISU, 35-3. With the Hawkeyes down 21-7 in the third quarter and the Hoosiers about to score again, Sash caught a ball that had pinballed off several other players and returned it for a touchdown.

Stay healthy, play clean and may the best team win. In a column on his death, The Gazette’s Mike Hlas says Sash became persona non grata for the Iowa program because he left school early.

Long snapper Zak DeOssie said he kept in touch with Sash. “He was an inspiration to a lot of young men in the community”.
