Sound off in the comments whether you are excited for Super Mario Run and whether it will be able to recreate the feel of the original NES game.
Japan-based video game developer Shigero Miyamoto better known as the father of Mario announced that the company would launch this mobile game ‘Super Mario Run’ on App Store in this holiday season. The longer you touch, the higher he jumps. You can even play it one handed, while you’re holding onto the handle on the subway while eating a hamburger, or even an Apple. This lets you compete against your friends’ scores as well as scores from players around the world.
According to a listing on the App Store, the game features three modes.
“iOS users will be able to download and enjoy a portion of Super Mario Run for free and will be able to enjoy all of the game content available in this release after paying a set purchase price”.
Super Mario Run is scheduled to release in December on iPhone and iPad.

There is no flag in the mode, but rather, the players keep running, jumping and collecting coins until the time runs out. Joining him on stage, barely acknowledged and silently demoing the game, was another legend of game design: Hideki Konno, director of all-time classics like Super Mario Kart. It’s also worth noting that Miyamoto only said it would be coming to iOS first, not that it was an exclusive, so I’m expecting it will be announced for Android devices as well in due course – most likely for a launch early next year.
