Super Mario Run Announced for iOS

With just a finger, users can control the Italian plumber by making him jump as he automatically runs from left to right on the iPhone screen. Throughout the presentation, Nintendo showcased some of the game, which will let you collect coins, compete against other players, and create your own Mushroom Kingdom.

In-app purchases will be present, too, but they won’t be required to enjoy the full game.

Miyamoto, who helped create the original Super Mario, appeared on stage to talk the audience through Nintendo’s latest project.

Super Mario Run is not like your typical Mario game.

There will also be an interactive competitive mode, where players can challenge others’ high scores.

It also makes sense that Mario would come before Animal Crossing or Fire Emblem.

Super Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto made the announcement at the Apple event. But perhaps the biggest surprise of the event was the revelation that Nintendo is bringing a new Super Mario game to iOS. The game is based on the classic game Super Mario Bros. but allows you to play the game with one hand due to its perpetual running style. Surprisingly, the game has already been listed on the App Store without a price and is unavailable to download as of now.

Even if this is your first Mario game, you won’t be able to put it down!

One of the most popular video game characters of all time is finally coming to Apple devices.

While Nintendo hasn’t said anything about an Android release, the game was referred to as an “iOS-first” game, which seems to imply it’ll be out for Android sometime after the iOS release.

Nintendo did state that they are planning to release it on iOS in time for the holiday season, but unfortunately for Android gamers it looks like you guys will have to wait until 2017.
