Superman returning in Man of Steel 2
After the disappointing box office performance of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, many DC fans wondered if that meant that Superman wouldn’t be getting another standalone film.

What are your thoughts on the breaking news regarding the Man of Steel sequel? After some time of quiet on the Man of Steel front, the Wrap is reporting that Man of Steel 2 is both in “active development” and a “top priority” for the studio.
Warner Bros, has two untitled DC movies which will going to release on 5th of Oct, 2018 and the second one on Nov, 1 2018, but the dates are still not confirmed. However, the source said that the Batman movie would likely come out before the Man of Steel sequel.
The first “Man of Steel” earned a respectable $668 million worldwide, and more importantly launched the DC Extended Universe to compete with the nested franchise model made popular by arch-rival Marvel Studios.
Although the studio has not commented about the development, the news of the sequel has stirred excitement among fans who have long awaited another instalment of the 2013 Superman movie. A new report indicates that a Superman solo film is in the works.
Despite Warner announcing a busy slate of DC movies – including “The Flash, “Wonder Woman”, and “Aquaman” – there was no mention of a “Man of Steel” sequel”.
As for Cavill, he will reprise his role as Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman in “Justice League” along with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Amy Adams and Amber Heard. One of this latter duo could potentially be Man of Steel 2.
