In this fresh S12 promo, the Winchester’s resurrected mother (Samantha Smith) drifts back into the family business and embarks with her sons on a fearful hunting trip.

Originally billed as guest stars, Collins and Sheppard’s characters have outlived most of the other characters in the show, surpassed only by the main stars – Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles (Sam and Dean Winchester respectively).
The CW will air the premiere episode of “Supernatural” season 12 on Thursday, Oct. 13.
September 13 is considered the “Supernatural Day” specially celebrated by the hit series’ fans.
The showrunner also revealed that Castiel will deal with the repercussions of the events that happened in season 11.
The death of Mary Winchester was the primary reason for Dean and Sam hunting. The show has seen unexpected team-ups in the previous seasons and a Crowly and Castiel match wouldn’t be the most freaky idea. Royster was cast as Alicia, who became a fellow hunter working with her brother, Max, after she was raised by a witch. “They’re both strangers in a unusual land, in a way”, Dabb clarified. Dabb told the publication that God trusts Sam and Dean more than he trusts himself, which is why these two will not be featured heavily in season 12.
As for the light and the darkness, season 11 somewhat wrapped up God and Amara’s storyline, so they won’t be a huge part of the next installment.
Those who thought that Sam and Dean shared a rather complicated sibling relationship, will need to change their opinion when they realize what’s in store for Supernatural Season 12. God has messed the whole situation with Amara and has caused havoc with the apocalypse.
“God has made mistakes”. They have saved more people than he has, basically.
“Supernatural” Season 12 may be close to the end of the franchise as well, Padalecki told Entertainment Weekly.
