Padalecki agreed and said that he hopes to hit 300 episodes at the very least, but if that happens, it might be time for both him and Ackles to say goodbye to the series.

Ackles said it might be time to wrap “Supernatural” if he and Padalecki show up on set and they don’t care anymore but luckily, they still feel that “little bit of magic” that was present in the show since Season 1. While it’s always been speculated that the series might be renewed for a 13th and final season in 2017, the stars of the show apparently have a much bigger goal in mind before bringing the story of Sam and Dean Winchester to a close.
