Surface Phone labeled as a breakthrough device by Microsoft executive
Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft, Chris Capossela in an interview last week made cleared the air by stating that the company is in indeed working on a Surface Phone to complete its Windows 10 ecosystem of devices. He also added that the company needs time for building the device, and so interested users have to be a bit patient.

Yet the one line that caught my eye in today’s article was one that showed Capossela’s, if not all of Microsoft’s frustration competing with Apple: “I think we have to do more breakthrough work” to make Apple fans “pause before they buy their 17th iPhone”.
A Surface Phone would absolutely use the same Windows 10 Mobile operating system that’s available now on the Lumia 950 and.
Although not much was revealed about this smartphone, recent reports suggest that this rumored device would be launched in the 2nd half of 2016. It runs on 6th-generation Intel Core processor and has 16GB of RAM, 1TB storage packs a G5 chipset, reportedly designed by Microsoft. Microsoft claims that the Surface Pro 4 is up to 30 percent faster than its predecessor and 50 percent faster compared to Apple’s MacBook Air. We know Microsoft’s history – too early with tablets, too early with smartphones, too early with wearables – and this generates a degree of skepticism around what it does.
He was further questioned about the Surface Phone, and he finally said that the device he is talking about can be compared to a “spiritual equivalent” of a Surface Phone. In other words, HP’s move into the mobile market might as well help the Redmond-based company solve the dilemma of whether or not to go ahead and invest more riches in a Surface Phone.
Unlike the Lumia phones, the said handset will be completely developed by the software giant.
More immediate work is happening on Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform.
