Furthermore, the device may also run on Windows’ upcoming operating system, the Redstone 2, which is still under development and is expected not to be released until next year.

As far as display is concerned, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be the first-ever device in its series to have a 4K Ultra HD display. It was previously rumored that this processor should be released by this year’s end, making it even more impossible that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would be released next year.

Now that the impressive Surface Pro 4 is nearing its on-year anniversary, rumors of a Surface Pro 5 release date has started floating in the internet. The device is also rumored to be equipped with 16Gb of RAM.

It’s August and Surface Pro 4 anniversary is approaching, raising questions of an impending upgrade.

After Microsoft introduced the public to the Surface Pro 4 in October of past year, the hope heading into 2016 was that its follow-up would arrive around the same time.

Though Microsoft has not provided any confirmation about the upcoming device’s specifications, rumors are high that the Surface Pro 5 would come in two variations, an entry-level version with a 2K screen and a flagship variant with a 4K screen.

If the 2016 launch is chosen, we’d expect Microsoft to hold a hardware event in October to announce the release.

Rumors on the release date of the device are a bit inconsistent.

Now, Kaby Lake has not yet been released.

October 2016 will, in all likelihood, pass by without Microsoft’s new tablet being introduced and folks waiting to see it may be better served to recalibrate their expectations as they settle in for an extended wait. Nevertheless, people would just have to wait a few more months and Microsoft may finally share some good stuff about the launching of the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
