Bradford completed 22 of 31 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns, taking advantage of a defense that had loaded up to stop Peterson.

Peterson told ESPN on Wednesday morning that the type of tear he was diagnosed with typically requires a minimum recovery time of three to four months.
On Monday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told KFAN’s Dan Barreiro that Peterson has a torn meniscus in his right knee.
“Everything is possible”, Zimmer said. “It could be season ending”. Come the end of the season, all gloves will be off to see who steals the NFC North this year. Peterson injured his right knee in the third quarter while being tackled.
Peterson is due to make $18 million in 2017 which is the final year of his current contract. Jerick McKinnon will be the starting running back Sunday at Carolina.
This week they lost Peterson and starting left tackle Matt Kalil (hip) to long-term injuries, but they remain confident that all is not lost heading into a Week 3 matchup at Carolina.
The team called Peterson’s surgery successful.
