Surprise: Eagles stun Patriots 35-28
The New England Patriots fell at home 35-28 to the Philadelphia Eagles, ruining the holiday spirit.

That was okay though: New England learned eight years ago that a 16-0 season is overrated.
Although the Patriots did give up their share of rushing yards in the loss-Eagles running back Darren Sproles had 66 of Philadelphia’s 128 yards on the ground-Belichick’s defenders allowed a mere 248 total yards of offense on the afternoon.
The mighty Patriots, even in their injury depleted state, lost back-to-back games for the first time in 56 games. “[We’ve] just got to get back to work, got to do a better job”.
Just eight days removed from talk of an undefeated season, the Patriots’ injuries began to take their toll. They were without two of their top three receivers in Julian Edelman and monster tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Sunday’s Eagles vs Patriots live stream and TV coverage will take place from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts and for the struggling Philadelphia Eagles, they couldn’t have picked a worse time to face an angry New England team.
Earlier this week, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said his team was going up against the best special teams unit they’ve seen so far this season. Philadelphia is known for their fast paced offense, and Bradford will look to have the offense rolling in his return on Sunday.
The New England Patriots (10-1) suffered an excruciating 30-24 loss to the Denver Broncos last week.
Brady was intercepted twice, sacked four times – with Brandon Graham and Connor Barwin getting two each – and hurried an incredible 13 times. But Seyi Ajirotutu recovered it at the Eagles’ 41 and they eventually went into score a touchdown.
Here comes quarterback Sam Bradford after missing the last two games and the most crucial portion of the one before, calmly keeping his team focused and earning his fifth win in the nine games that he’s been able to finish. It was their first victory over the Patriots in five games, including a Super Bowl, since December 19, 1999.
For most of the season, the Patriots were steamrolling the league and Brady looked like the runaway choice as the NFL’s most valuable player.
Jenkins’ interception return gave the Eagles their first lead of the game, at 21-14, with 7:26 left in the third quarter.
The game changed when the Patriots were ready to enter halftime with a 14-7 lead.
The Patriots won all those 50-degree games, by the way: beating Indianapolis 31-24 on Dec. 4, 2011 (51 degrees), Jacksonville 35-7 on Dec. 27, 2009 (55 degrees) and Houston 40-7 on Dec. 17, 2006 (52 degrees). The Patriots are 59-12 in Brady’s 71 career 300-yard games. James White took a direct snap and handed the ball off to Danny Amendola who completed a pass to Tom Brady for a 36 yard gain.
The game was tied at 14 in the second half with the Patriots in possession. But he was guilty of two interceptions, calling the first one “bad quarterbacking” and the second “a bad mental error”. Brady’s fourth scoring pass cut the gap to 35-28 with 3:00 minutes left. Talking about the return, he said, “It was just my blockers up front know how I want to return and we spend time on that in practice”.

Having already recovered from a similar deficit, Philadelphia ensured that the hosts would not match their comeback as Jordan Matthews collected a Sam Bradford pass to make it 35-14.
