In light of stars like Blake Lively, Scarlett Johansson, and Kristen Stewart defending Woody Allen amid rape and sexual abuse allegations thrown at him by stepdaughter Dylan Farrow, it looked a little bleak.

“I have nothing good to say about him”, added Sarandon, who was seated alongside her Thelma & Louise co-star Geena Davis.
Asked about Farrow’s article while promoting “Cafe Society” in Cannes, Allen responded: “I’ve said everything I have to say about the whole situation in “The New York Times”.
Allen’s adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, claimed in 2014 that Allen molested her when she was 7 years old – an accusation he has starkly denied.
Her brother Ronan and their mother Mia Farrow have said they decided not to press charges in the 1990s due to Dylan’s “fragility” at the time.
Allen is back in the headlines this week.
Lafitte later said that he had no idea Allen was accused of sexual assault and that his comments were intended as a joke about Roman Polanski, a film director who pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a minor in 1977.

“The movie made a lot of money and that didn’t happen”, said Sarandon.
Sarandon and Davis reflected on their hit 1991 movie by director Ridley Scott about two friends which set off on a road trip and become outlaws, which became seen as the ultimate feminist revenge flick.
