Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput launched the theatrical trailer of the film at an event in Mumbai today.

Sushant, who is now waiting for the release of his film “MS Dhoni – The Untold Story”, came to launch the trailer of “Motu Patlu – King Of Kings” and wished good luck to its makers. The magnum opus is Viacom18 Motion Pictures first ever homegrown 3D stereoscopic animated movie based on the very popular Lotpot characters Motu Patlu now featuring on Nickelodeon. “The 10 Motu Patlu made-for-television movies have contributed around 10 per cent of Nick’s (Viacom 18’s kids channel) ratings, being amongst the top 5 every time we released one such movie”, Viacom18 Group Chief Executive Officer Sudhanshu Vats said in a statement.
The actor, who will be seen in the biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, was elated to be at the trailer launch. “Animation has not succeeded here in India”.
The animated film Motu Patlu will be releasing in 3D. “Given that Motu Patlu is the most popular kids’ brand in the country today, we were inspired to create this magnum opus suitable for the big screen”, Maya Digital Studios chairman and managing director Ketan Mehta said.
The film, which releases on October 14, is the first ever 3D stereoscopic animated movie for Viacom18 Motion Pictures.

The studio head also promised that the film will get a substantial release in India and there is a big marketing plan in place for the promotions. Children have loved us on the small screen and our new adventures and visual extravaganza will surely entertain and excite them. The show timings will be planned in such a way that they will be viable to the families and children.
