“We raised the issue of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks probe and asked Pakistan to expedite the trial process”, Swaraj added.
She said both India and Pakistan have made a decision to start comprehensive talks in the upcoming days.
Amid the stand-off in Parliament over the National Herald case, the Congress is planning to open a new front against the government over its Pakistan policy.
Sushma Swaraj paid a two-day state visit to Pakistan on December 8-9 to attend the fifth Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process Ministerial Conference. “Urdu is language of my nation as well.” she added.
“Initiatives on commerce and connectivity, individuals-to-individuals exchanges and humanitarian points would contribute to welfare of the whole area and promote higher understanding and mutual belief”, she stated. “They talked only terrorism”.
Suggesting that some people will keep criticizing everything, she said, “Sometime there is criticism of wearing green saree”.
Swaraj, who faced noisy protest in Parliament said, “There was nothing wrong in wearing green saree and speaking Urdu as it is on of the Indian languages”.
In her statement, which was largely inaudible because of the opposition repeatedly calling for a stop to the proceedings in the house, Swaraj detailed the circumstances under which her visit was organised and what took place in Islamabad with the Pakistani leadership. Why I spoke Urdu?

The dialogue was again stopped after the killing of Indian national Sarabjeet in a Pakistan jail, she noted.
