Sushma Swaraj meets Pakistani refugee Madhu, helps her get admission into school
Madhu, a resident of Punjab province of Pakistan, moved to Delhi two years ago and had been struggling to get admitted in a school since then.

Fulfilling the request of a 16-year-old Pakistani Hindu girl, External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday promised Madhu that her admission procedures would be completed soon and she would see her wishes coming true. The girl after meeting EAM Sushma Swaraj expressed satisfaction and said that she was now hopeful of getting admission at the earliest.
Madhu says that she was a 9th standard student in Pakistan 2 years ago. Back in Delhi, she wanted to continue her studies from where she had left. “In school, she felt unsafe and humiliated. When we got that made, they asked for some other documents as she is still a Pakistani refugee”, her uncle Jevar said. Being a Hindu, she was not allowed to use glass to drink water and would rather use her hands for the objective. What they did not know was that in a dire state to leave Pakistan, all her necessary documents were left behind. She said her parents can not afford her education in a private college as they demand donation.
Madhu has written a letter to Arvind Kejriwal, narrating her ordeal and pleading to the Chief Minister and HRD Minister to accommodate her in the government co-ed senior secondary school.

While talking with Madhu and her family, she learnt that Madhu had approached many government schools for admission in Class IX, but they all turned her down as she was “overage” and didn’t have a transfer certificate. I hope she helps in my admission.
