Suspect charged with murder in Renton woman’s death
According to the Seattle Times, the 40-year-old had texted a friend that evening, informing them that she was out at a Mariners baseball game.

St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church Pastor Kacey Hahn, far left, gives candles to the community to carry on a vigil to the home of Ingrid Lyne on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in Renton, Wash.
An empty box of plastic garbage bags was also found in her Renton, Washington, home, which was identical to the brand used in the disposal of Lyne’s body.
According to court documents, police found a 15-inch pruning saw in the bathroom of Ingrid Lyne’s home, along with blood and skin fragments.
Investigators later identified the remains as being those of Lyne.
A search warrant was then issued and police eventually tracked down Charlton through evidence including phone records in Snohomish County, just north of Seattle, WREG reported. Bail set at $2 million.
SEATTLE Prosecutors have filed a first-degree murder charge against a man accused of killing and dismembering a woman he recently started dating and dumping her remains in a Seattle recycling bin over the weekend.
Charlton told authorities the couple had been dating for about a month and they attended the baseball game and then returned to her house, but he was so intoxicated he couldn’t remember what happened.
Charlton is expected to make his first court appearance Monday afternoon at the King County Jail. After he summoned Lyne’s mother, Jorga Bass, they went inside and found the missing woman’s wallet, cellphone and other personal items, the documents say.
“He added that he was “‘unsure’ how he left Lyne’s residence, claiming that he assumed she must have driven him back to Seattle, where, he claimed, he slept on the sidewalk”.
Monday night, crime scene investigators returned to Lyne’s home in the Highlands and removed the plumbing beneath the bathtub.
What’s going on?”They’re not doing well”, she said.Lyne was reported missing Saturday morning when her ex-husband arrived to drop off their kids and found she wasn’t home”.
“My name is John, I thought she was with her kids today?” A police officer needs to speak to you as you may be the last person who saw her. She had planned to go to the Mariners season opener with a date.
“She was a great mother, a great friend”, said family friend Jim Morrell.
When he was interviewed by two detectives, Charlton seemed “nonchalant” and was annoyed they were asking questions about him when the “ostensible purpose” of the interview was to talk about Lyne’s disappearance.
In her final text, Bass wrote, “Please John, did Ingrid say anything about someone coming to see her after you separated from her last night”. “We can’t find her or her vehicle”. As I said her phone and ID and purse are at her house but she and her vehicle are gone without a trace. Any help would be appreciated.
She apparently received no response, KCPQ reports. Detectives observed abrasions to his face and scratches to his hand and chest at the time of his arrest.
Charlton has a criminal history stretching across six states that includes convictions for aggravated robbery and assault, and arrests for battery.

In the 2006 filing for a restraining order south of Seattle in Thurston County Superior Court, Charlton’s parents, Ray and JoAnn Charlton, said he had tried to provoke a fight with them while he was drunk and abusive.
