At the same time, the news that Wilson was suspected of killing his parents rippled across the community.
Deputies found David Wilson, 66, and his wife, Adrienne Chapin, 60, suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to officers.
Authorities confirmed that 34-year-old Nathan Wilson was taken into custody in Mendocino County late Monday afternoon. Nathan Wilson lived on his parent’s property, Focha said.
Wilson’s brother also saw his nephew, Nathan Alexander Wilson, on the property covered in blood.
They had received a report at 9:29 a.m. that a man thought his nephew had just killed his brother and sister-in-law at a residence on Sexton Road. He was last seen wearing green trousers and an unknown colored shirt, according to the sheriff’s office.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a possible weapon was found inside the house.
Wilson lived on the property with his parents and was last seen near a shed there, according to Sonoma County sheriff’s Sgt. Cecile Focha.
Nathan Wilson was nowhere to be found when authorities arrived, and officials suspected he had driven away in his Toyota pickup.
Law enforcement agencies throughout the region are on the lookout. He is known to carry knife and is very strong, officers said.

Members of the public are warned if they do see Wilson or the truck to not approach, but to immediately call 911, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center at 707-565-2121.
