All parents can gather in the high school auditorium parking lot. The development came less than an hour after a lockdown was announced at Martin Luther King High School in the 6100 block of Stenton Avenue.

– Police say an arrest has been made in Culpeper after reports of a 15-year-old student with a weapon on a bus put three schools on lockdown. He was taken into custody about a half-mile from school. The student was seen on video leaving campus.
The lockdown was lifted shortly after 9:30 a.m.
The suspect was apprehended off campus before just noon Wednesday, and the schools placed on a modified lock down. A state police spokeswoman said the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office planned a news conference to discuss the arrest. At the nearby sheriff’s office at noon, school and law enforcement officials escorted in a white male teen with dark hair wearing a black hoodie.

According to officials, a student at another high school informed them an MLK High School student had the weapon.
