Authorities said late Friday that five people have been killed in two shootings in northeast Georgia.

A woman named Lauren Hawes, 26, who is the daughter of the suspected killer, said that she hid in a neighbor’s house while her father went on the shooting spree that claimed the lives of five people, including her cousin and grandmother, according to the Associate Press.
Shedd says last night’s shootings stem from a domestic dispute that left three men and two females dead.
According to The Augusta Chronicle, three were shot in one location and two others were shot at a nearby subdivision. Law enforcement officials said they believe the two incidents are related.
During the course of that investigation, deputies received a second call that more shots had been fired at a home on Washington Road, just around the corner from the first crime scene.
“The resident said she entered the home with the relative and could see two people in chairs were already dead and another person was slumped over and bleeding profusely”.
Investigators say Hawes later killed himself at his home on Rosemont Road in Appling. The shootings took place in two separate locations in Appling, Georgia, a small community northwest of Augusta, Georgia.
Murray says she thought Hawes was a nice guy, but said he made a “stupid” decision.
“Also inside was evidence that the suspect attempted to set fire to the house, unsuccessfully”, Shedd said. Officers found 59-year-old Lizzy Williams and 62-year-old Shelly Williams dead at the scene, Shedd said.
At this point police did not confirm the divorce motive, saying that “the shootings stemmed from a domestic dispute” but did not elaborate.
Lauren Hawes says her 50-year-old father had threatened to kill her grandmother and mother a day before the fatal shootings.

Investigators said they are looking for 50-year-old Wayne Anthony. “After we saw him go off, we were like: “That’s not right”, she added.
