Suspect in Planned Parenthood shooting to appear in court
This was not the first attack on one of its clinics and the group says poisonous political rhetoric is inciting domestic terrorism, a charge rejected by its critics. Amidst the shooting last Friday at a local Planned Parenthood clinic, Swasey was killed in an attempt to save the hostages inside.

The Victims: One police officer and two civilians were allegedly killed by Dear during the attack.
Suspect Robert Lewis Dear, who has been jailed without bond, will face a charge of first-degree murder at a court appearance scheduled for December 9. His former wife told the New York Times that he was politically conservative, owned guns, and opposed abortion, and another source told the newspaper that he “had praised people who attacked abortion providers, saying they were doing ‘God’s work'”. Documents in the investigation of the shooting were ordered sealed by the court. Stewart, a 29-year-old father of two, was an Army veteran who served a tour in Iraq. Stewart died of his wound. He was trying to tell me I should redo my roof on my house in metal, you know metal roofing, and I said, why should I do that?. “The true instigator of this violence and all violence at any pph (Planned Parenthood) facility, is pph themselves”.
Sue Dunlap, president and chief executive of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, said the inauguration ceremony was aimed in part at demonstrating the organisation’s commitment to keeping its doors open.
Dear’s phrase recalled the controversy surrounding the secretly recorded videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing how the organization provided fetal tissue to researchers. The official said the “no more baby parts” comment was among a number of statements he made to authorities after his arrest, making it hard to know his specific motivation.
May also indicated that while he has been in contact with U.S. Attorney John Walsh, a decision about whether to pursue federal charges against Dear had not been reached as of Monday.

According to a police report, the woman told investigators that in November of that year, she was taking out the trash when Dear put a knife to her throat and forced her back inside, where she said he raped her.
