Suspect in Seattle body parts case has criminal convictions
Court documents released Tuesday afternoon told of the alleged suspect John Robert Charlton, 37 of Snohomish County dismembering the woman in the bathroom of the woman’s home.

SEATTLE (AP) – A man authorities say dismembered a mother of three in her suburban home and then dumped her body parts in a Seattle recycling bin was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder. He acknowledged that they went to the game and that he spent the night with her Friday, police said. Charlton did speak with investigators after his arrest and part of that interview could shed light on how the crime unfolded. Her auto has been reported as stolen and her cellphone, wallet and other personal items were found at her home in Renton, they said.
Police “found bits of human flesh and blood in the bathtub drain”, King County Deputy Prosecutor Jennifer Worley said, according to KCPQ.
Lyne, who is divorced, was a nurse at Swedish Hospital on Broadway in Seattle. Charlton was arrested for the investigation of murder. His next court appearance is set for Thursday.
The 40-year-old had texted a friend on Friday night, telling them she was on a date at a Mariners baseball game, according to the Seattle Times. She left her three children with their father overnight. Ariz. said her friend’s daughters were her pride and joy. That was apparently the last anyone heard of her. Lyne’s 2015 Toyota Highlander was found late Monday night in downtown Seattle.
Phil Lyne called Lyne’s mother, Jorga Bass, who drove to the Renton home with a key and went inside, according to court documents.
Getting choked up at times, Edward Franceschina earlier shared his concern over the disappearance of his neighbor Ingrid Lyne, who he says he saw more as a daughter.
Bass then asked when Charlton last saw her and notified him that she’d called police. He said he had been dating Lyne for about a month.
Suspect: “My name is John”.
Bass: “Please Joh, did Ingrid say anything about someone coming to see her after yo useparated from her last night”.
Charlton: “911? What’s going on?” She had planned to go to the Mariners season opener with a date.
A phone number for Charlton’s home could not immediately be found. I thought she was with her kids today?
Lyne’s friends shared their grief on social media Monday after cops tentatively identified her body.
“They’re not doing well”, she said. She was reported missing after 10 a.m. Saturday, the Times reported. John Charlton, left, appears in court at the King County Jail Courtroom in Seattle on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Some of those crimes are violent including aggravated robbery and batter.
If Charlton did do it, police hope they can answer those questions in the coming days. An officer followed it to the parking lot of a Target store in Riverdale, Utah, where Charlton was arrested. The records show that his parents filed for the temporary protection order in 2006.

In the 2006 filing for a restraining order south of Seattle in Thurston County Superior Court, Charlton’s parents, Ray and JoAnn Charlton, said he had tried to provoke a fight with them while he was drunk and abusive.
