Suspect in teens’ deaths in court Friday
Jeffrey Hazelwood’s hands shook uncontrollably as a Fulton County judge addressed him, WSB-TV reported.

On Wednesday, a Georgia man who murdered two teens by shooting them in the head has been arrested by the police.
Hazelwood appeared disheveled and shaky during the court appearance, which lasted about five minutes.
“I can just surmise that being charged with such a heinous crime – that is a terrifying experience”, his lawyer, Lawrence Zimmerman, told The Associated Press after Friday’s hearing.
A judge denied bond for Hazelwood, whose next court hearing is set for August 19. The bodies of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis, both 17, were discovered by a delivery driver behind the Publix supermarket shortly before 6 a.m. Monday, Roswell police said. The medical examiner said they both died of single gunshot wounds.
Hazelwood has also been charged with aggravated assault, theft by taking and financial transaction card fraud. “We got the call late last night”.
The defense team consists of Zimmerman, Michael Jacobs and Jason McClendon, three Atlanta attorneys who are all “good friends”, they said, and heads of their own law firms. Police said their bodies were on the ground by two vehicles.
Grant says police are unsure of the motive, but they believe Hazelwood acted alone.
“That may come out in court, but it’s certainly not something we’re ever going to comment on”, Roswell Police spokesman Zachary Frommer said Friday afternoon.
In recent months, Hazelwood had been staying with various friends and relatives in Roswell and in nearby Cobb and Cherokee counties, Frommer told the AP.
“She had such a pretty smile and they’re not lying she was one of the most attractive people you’ll ever meet”, Alexis Macchiome, a friend of Henderson’s said.
The memorial for Henderson will be held at Roswell Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m.
Hours later Henderson and Davis were gunned down behind a Roswell Publix.
Funeral services for Natalie, a rising senior slated to start classes August 8 at Roswell High School, were held Friday, while the memorial for Carter was held on Thursday.
Henderson was amusing, compassionate and incredibly giving, said her friend Alex Macchione, one of hundreds of mourners at the service. “Unusual for one so young, she had the courage to always be, unapologetically, herself”.

“He was a lovely, kind, amusing kid who lived life to the absolute fullest”, she said.
