Matthew, 33, was charged with First Degree Murder and Abduction with Intent to Defile.

Harrington disappeared October 17, 2009, after leaving a Metallica concert at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

Her remains were found months later on a southern Albemarle County farm.

Jesse Leroy Matthew Jr.is escorted into a courtroom for an appearance before 405th District Court Judge Michelle Slaughter regarding his extradition back to Virginia Thursday, September 25, 2014, in Galveston, Texas. He faces life in prison when he is sentenced in the Fairfax case in October.

In June 2015, Matthew entered an Alford plea in a September 2005 abduction, sexual assault and attempted murder in Fairfax, Virginia.

Morgan’s mother Gil Harrington said she’s been waiting for this moment since her daughter’s remains were found in a field in January 2010.

The disappearances of Harrington and Graham drew comparisons.

Prosecutors previously said that they have forensic evidence connecting him to Harrington’s death, as well as DNA evidence linking him to Graham. Harrington frequently noted the similarities between her daughter’s case and Graham’s. The defendant is charged with capital murder for her death.

Matthew is scheduled to appear in Albemarle County Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.
