The day of violence started at about 11:30 a.m. when Dillon allegedly attacked a 39-year-old neighbor. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police have arrested a man they suspect slashed a woman Sunday morning in Queens and hours later fatally stabbed a man and attempted to set fire to a homeless person.

She was treated at Mount Sinai. He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. How or why the assailant specifically chose his victims has yet to be understood. That report is now being discounted on social media.

When Shanley and Childs arrived at the scene, they encountered Dillon, who threw an unknown chemical substance, possibly gasoline, at their faces, burning their hands, police said. A total of seven shots were fired in the backyard of the home Dillon shares with his parents, police said, and he was struck several times. It is not necessarily understood what the man’s current physical status is.

Police released this photo of James Dillon, wanted in connection with three separate attacks in the city. Let’s get this guy!

When police responded to the slashing, Dillon had already left the scene, authorities said.

“I’m thankful to God that I’m OK, that I’m alive”, she said through an interpreter.

The police officers, from the NYPD’s new counterterrorism unit, spotted Dillon in the rear of the first location at around 5:40 p.m. He had with him a bottle of accelerant and what appeared to be a small green kitchen knife, according to police.

“When he punched my son and knocked him on the floor right in front of me, right here in the living room, that was the last straw – do not come back”, Nasr said, “and I told my son to stay away from him”.

The neighbor, who was slashed, and the homeless man, who was burned, were in stable condition in local hospitals, the New York Police Department said.

Jonathon Martinez, 28, said he often sees Dillon walking around the neighborhood. “There’s going to be trouble because he acted insane”.
