Forty-year-old Joseph Garguilo of Holliston, Massachusetts, is due in court on Monday to face charges of being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition after the Federal Bureau of Investigation found an arsenal at his home including parts for an assault-style rifle, six ammunition magazines, Tasers and explosives. The complainant “was in fear for her life and for the public”.

A Holliston man arrested over the weekend is accused of collecting weapons and threatening multiple attacks, including an attack on a mosque and an assassination of President Barack Obama.

Ortiz’s office said the restraining order prohibited Garguilo, who does not have a firearms identification card and no license to carry, from possessing firearms. He is now under a domestic violence order issued in July in Wrenthan District Court. Officials say he told a friend that he regretted not killing Obama at one point while he was golfing at Martha’s Vineyard.

Around the same time, Garguilo allegedly said he “will plant a bomb in police station… and kill as many homeland security officers as he can before they kill him”. He was charged with possessing ammunition in violation of an active existing restraining order, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of MA. Garguilo also allegedly said he wanted to, ‘chain a mosque closed and burn it down.’ Garguilo did not mention any specific mosque or time for this attack. “According to Garguilo has demonstrated the use of tasers to both children and has deployed them against inanimate objects and on himself”. Finally, agents also recovered handwritten notes threatening violence against members of the Islamic religion.
