June 12: Three people were shot and killed in front of a home at 6300 W. Berkeley Road.

Van Zandt also said the pattern of victims, which Phoenix police have described as random, may not be random to the shooter.

Phoenix police have released a sketch of a suspect in a series of shootings that started in March.

Police have now linked the killing of Krystal Annette White, 55, whose body they found April 19, to the serial street shooter. Phoenix Police say they have a serial shooter or shooters on their hands. Phoenix Police Chief Joseph Yahner called for witnesses to contact law enforcement officials with any information they have about the shootings or the suspect.

The police department is urging those with information related to the incidents to speak out.

“Please remember though, that the suspect vehicle description has varied from a light-colored sedan to a dark-colored sedan, so additional descriptors may not help someone identify suspicious activity”, Howard said in a statement.

June 3: At approximately 9:50 p.m., Horacio De Jesus Pena was shot and killed in front of a home in the area of 6700 W. Flower St.

Police beefed up their manhunt Tuesday by releasing a sketch of the suspect and raising the reward to $30,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Margarito Castro, whose 19-year-old son was among the victims, attended that forum.

Police have been investigating several shootings in the Maryvale area for several weeks.

On June 12, at about 2:35 a.m., an unoccupied vehicle was discovered shot in the 6200 block of West Mariposa Drive.

Police initially linked four shootings to the same culprit, but confirmed this week that four other incidents showed the same pattern.

“Many of the victims [have been] shot while standing outside their homes”.

Former Phoenix PD Sergeant Andy Hill was the department’s public face for two of the valley’s most high-profile cases, the serial shooters Dale Hausner and Sam Dieteman, who killed 8, and Mark Goudeau sentenced to death in the murders of 9 people.
