The BJP on Wednesday suspended MP Kirti Azad, who has alleged large-scale corruption in Delhi’s cricket body when it was headed by now Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Another party maverick, Subramanian Swamy, has assured Azad that he will draft Azad’s reply to the suspension notice.

The drama over Kirti Azad’s suspension has snowballed into an internal tug-of-war for the BJP.
Kirti Azad on Sunday took a press conference along with his associates where he disclosed details about the financial irregularities in the Delhi & District Cricket Association, that took place during the leadership of senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley.
Despite speculations that the party high command intends to expel him if he does not apologise, Mr Azad said; “I have been associated with the BJP for 22 years and it is the only political party with a democratic structure”.
