Vardy can create more history on Saturday if he hits the target against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

That latter statistic is also the eighth-best return throughout Europe and the other members of the continent’s top ten show how important a characteristic expert dribbling truly is in the modern game – Lionel Messi, Neymar, Alexis Sanchez, Douglas Costa, Franco Vazquez and the highly-rated Sofiane Boufal to name a few.

And while Vardy, who turns 29 next month, has a relatively limited shelf life they accept he has to be rewarded for his astonishing goal scoring exploits.

Tottenham missed an opportunity to go into the top four by drawing 1-1 at West Bromwich Albion.

However, despite their injury troubles, Arsenal must be considered favourites for the clash, and if they want to maintain their title push, they can not afford another match without a win.
