Swansea City parts ways with manager Bob Bradley
It marked the second-shortest managerial tenure in Premier League history and an obvious blow to the first American to ever manage in a major European league.

Bradley said the fear that Premier League clubs would be dissuaded from appointing American managers in future were he to fail at Swansea was untrue.
“With the club going through such a tough time”, Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins said in a statement, “we have to try and find the answers to get ourselves out of trouble”.
Jenkins added: “Personally, I have nothing but praise for Bob”.
The pressure is heaped on Swansea manager Bob Bradley following a 4-1 defeat at home to West Ham United on Monday.
Since Bradley has taken over, he’s won just seven out of his eleven games and despite getting the backing off the Swansea owners he is under major pressure and it remains to be seen whether he will be in charge at home against Bournemouth on Saturday.
“I could try to sound as if I came from the United Kingdom, but it would sound poorly and that’s not who I am”, Bradley said.
In his first game in charge, Swansea turned in a positive performance against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, although they eventually lost 3-2.
Bradley liked to talk and was a good communicator, but the American’s terminology was jumped on by some Swansea supporters frustrated by results.
Swansea are keen to make a swift appointment with the club four points from safety in 19th place and the January transfer window set to open in a few days’ time.
“I received no xenophobia with the players I worked with every day, from the staff inside the club that I worked with every day, from the media here that paid real attention, got to know me through the press conferences, ” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“I’ve been in hard situations before and I will continue to look the players in the eye and challenge them”, Bradley said, adding that Swansea had to “stick together and keep going”. Less than three months later he has been fired. The New Jersey native then spent two years coaching Egypt’s national team before returning to club soccer (football).

Bradley was hired by the club October 3rd, replacing former manager Francesco Guildolin. However, a Rodgers would be mad to trade Celtic for a Premier League relegation battle, and the odds make him something of an outsider at 25/1.
