They continued gathering as many bees as they could until roughly 7:30 p.m., at which time it was decided the remaining bees would have to be burned.
An Oklahoma police officer has faced a nervous wait after thousands of bees swarmed his vehicle, trapping him inside.
A truck hauling honey bees created a buzz when it crashed on the interstate in Oklahoma.
He told KOKH: “There is a bee shortage”.
“The bees will swarm up to 10 miles away a few of them in groups”.
Miraculously, the state Highway Patrol said, the deputy was stung only once and escaped otherwise unhurt – but not before he recorded terrifying video of the blanket of bees engulfing the vehicle. The driver reportedly was treated for “non-life-threatening injuries” at a nearby hospital.
“I couldn’t give you a number, but millions”, Scott Woods said.
Other than receiving one sting, Zink was not injured.

As he neared the crash site, the bees latched on to his cruiser, requiring beekeepers to work for several hours to clear them from the scene.
