Swiftkey releases US map highlighting each state’s most used emoji
Washington, D.C.’s spirit emoji would be a snowman, so enjoy the image above and see whether you resonate with the other folks in your state concerning the use of emojis.

The popular SwiftKey keyboard for iPhone was today updated to add a fun new tracking feature, Emoji Insights.
Where you live could impact which emoji you choose to use.
The insights can be shared on all social media and can be accessed by going into Swiftkey Cloud’s “My Profile” then selecting “Your typing & emoji insights”.
But then again, what’s with Nevada’s top emoji being an eggplant?
While some of the results were no surprise – Hawaii uses the most waves, surfer, volcano and pineapple emoji, for example – SwiftKey came back with some interesting findings. It provides stats like which emoji you use the most and how your emoji use compares to others. Everyone else in this state must be planning a lot of trips to Hill Country wineries.
Swiftkey Swiftkey has analyzed data in all 50 states to see which emoji best represent each state based on which are used the most. You’d expect Texas’ top three would include the cow, the football and the handgun, but it turns out Texans don’t always play to type. That last one totally makes sense.

In a report released on Tuesday, they detailed each state’s favorite emoji. Millions do, and a study of emoji use reveals some telling trends in who uses what – and, to be honest, some weird trends too.
