Swimmer charged with filing false report
Although it is still unknown if Lochte will appear on “Dancing with the Stars” season 23, BuddyTV says that he might want to try to improve his image.

According to the police statement, Lochte would be duly informed about the legal process and whether he will be required to appear in a Brazilian court. Because the case involves lesser charges and the special court, prosecutors do not need to be involved in the charging decision. Brazilian Police could not validate his claims and reviewed the security video at the gas station, FOX News Sports reported.
Lochte and the other swimmers could face sanctions from USA Swimming, including fines or suspension.
Lochte apologised last week for saying armed men carrying police badges robbed him and three of his swimming teammates -Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen -.
Lochte has since acknowledged he was highly intoxicated and his behavior led to the confrontation.
Lochte had left Brazil the day after the incident at the gas station took place. They were later allowed to leave Brazil, as was Feigen, who also was questioned.
As nearly all celebrities who break the law do, Lochte will most likely get off pretty easy in this case.
Under Brazilian law, the penalty for falsely filing a crime report is a maximum of 18 months in prison.
The swimmer has admitted he was drunk and apologised, but he now has to decide whether or not to return to Brazil to defend the charges.
Presently, there is the case of Marco Polo del Nero, the head of Brazil’s football federation, who has been indicted on fraudulent charges. He has 12 Olympic medals, second only to fellow swimmer Michael Phelps among US male Olympians. The company has signed on as sponsor for the controversial swimmer who lost four other sponsors this week after this lied about being robbed at the Olympics in Rio.
