The Final Five are inspiring gymnasts all over the world, including some superstars at Premier Athletics North in Knoxville. Perhaps by beginning the conversation with talk about the best in history.

The 19-year-old was peerless as she crushed her rivals with a powerful display of acrobatics and tumbling in the Rio Olympic Arena. There’s so much pressure I don’t even know how she does it.

“I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps”.

Douglas, 20, has sparkled as part of the winning all-star USA women’s team in Rio – but social media attacks have been so vicious they have ruined her Olympic adventure, Douglas’ mother told Reuters.

“No one goes in thinking they can beat Simone”, Raismansaid.

In fact, she’s so dominant in her sport right now, she’s held that title for the past three years.

“It was a phenomenal competition to watch”, she added. Only the top two scorers from each country are allowed to move forward to the final competition.

Once Raisman realized she clinched the silver, she dissolved into tears. “And if they put a lot effort into it, then I can do it too”, said Little.

With her victory in the 100 freestyle, fellow American Simone Manuel became the first African-American woman to capture an Olympic gold in swimming.

Biles still has two more chances at gold on the balance beam (Monday) and floor exercise (Tuesday). Gabby Douglas, the 2012 Olympic all-around champion, finished seventh. Biles relishing the victory with her teammates, leaving Rio with that coveted medal and a taste of triumph. For Team USA’s Harrison, it’s her second consecutive Olympic gold medal. “She just worked so hard in gym and for it to finally pay off, it amazes me”. “Those are the culminations of our career”.

Uzbekistan’s Oksana Chusovitina, 41, also tried a “produnova”, the only vault with a rating of 7, and although the public showed its appreciation for her attempt, she did not pull it off perfectly and ended up in 7th place with a score of 14,833. She went back in front with a 15.433 on beam – and capped it with a 15.933 on floor that Karolyi called “very close to perfection”. “It was just kind of a train wreck”.
