The lone Sooner harrier familiar with the national scene is redshirt senior Brandon Doughty, who ran in the 2012 championship as a redshirt freshman when the Sooners finished eighth overall. “She’s very excited, she’s obviously a little nervous … so just getting her that experience, getting her calm and keeping her composed through it and (maintaining) patience as well – knowing that this is the first of many”. “The ladies certainly come away from this championship with a few great experiences which are certain to position us very well for the future”, Howard said after his team finished 25th in the championship.
