A less than 30-second video clip emerged online shows a group of Syrian rebel fighters being blown up after one among them takes a selfie using his phone – yes, you read it right.

Footage on the internet showed a group of eight men, believed to be members of the Free Syrian Army, who gathered around a camera to record a video, according to a Mirror report.
The unverified footage then showed one of the men picking up a phone and holding it up to take a picture of him and the other rebels, the dailymail.co.uk reported. Sitting in front of a rebel flag and flanked by rifles, they sing into a microphone and appear to be filming a propaganda video.
A clicking noise can be heard moments before a sudden blast rocks the room, with flames and smoke obscuring the camera’s view.
As the dust settles, the men in the room can be heard shouting “Allah Akbar”, which means “God is great” in Arabic.
The Free Syrian Army are battling both the Russian-backed tyrannical regime of Bashar al-Assad and Islamic State.
