During this time about 20 aircraft carried out 10-15 combat sorties a day, according to the army.

Amir Abdollahian briefed Bogdanov on his recent discussions with Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad, saying that Damascus stresses the necessity for serious fight against terrorism and supports efforts to resolve the country’s crisis through a political process based on popular vote and without any foreign interference.

Last week, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow was in favor of the Free Syrian Army’s participation in the Syrian reconciliation talks.
