Swiss media and Reuters have reported that authorities are looking for four men believed to have been in Geneva this week. They were pictured each in a crouched pose and holding up an index finger.
The official also said it was too early to say whether other suspects might be at large. He also declined to identify the names, ages or nationalities of the people being sought.
With much of Europe on heightened alert for extremist attacks in recent weeks, Swiss national authorities had flagged “suspicious individuals who could be in Geneva or the Geneva region” to the city’s authorities on Wednesday, a statement from the Geneva security department said.
Swiss police launched a manhunt in the city for four men suspected of being involved in the 13 November’s terrorist attacks in Paris.

Police were working with worldwide and national authorities to locate suspects they believed to be in the Geneva region, officials said. He was reportedly accompanied by Ahmad Dahmani, another Belgian arrested in Turkey last week in connection with the Paris attacks. “For now there is no change to the security situation” said spokeswoman Emmanuelle Lo Verso who on Thursday said police were investigating “a specific threat” and were “actively searching” for suspects. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss the matter.
