The 2015 college football season continues Saturday, October 17, as the No. 11 Florida State Seminoles host the Louisville Cardinals in an ACC showdown at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. It is the eighth 300-yard passing game of Golson’s career and his second since transferring to Florida State earlier this summer. The Seminoles are 4-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

After a slow first half for Dalvin Cook who only tallied 2 carries and 34 yards, Everett Golson handed the ball off to Cook who broke 4 tackles and scored the Seminoles’ first touchdown of the game.

It’s the fourth 100-yard game of the season for Cook and the ninth of the sophomore’s career.

Freshman quarterback Lamar Jackson tossed three touchdowns in the loss for Louisville.

Two turnovers – a forced fumble by freshman safety Derwin James and an interception from senior safety Javien Elliott – led to two touchdowns.

The Seminoles instead opened the game’s scoring with a long drive that culminated in a 43-yard field goal by Roberto Aguayo, his longest of the season. He carried 19 times for 32 yards – but five of those carries were sacks. In receiving, Kermit Whitfield had 95 yards in nine receptions while Cook added 47 yards and one touchdown in three catches.

Even with the large lead, Florida State didn’t take any chances.

Golson, who completed 13-of-20 passes with two sacks in the first half, continued his pattern this season of really shining in the second half.

In addition to Brown’s ejection from the FSU game, he’ll be suspended for the first half of the next game, against Boston College on Saturday.
