There’s a lot of skilled craftsmanship that goes into making an analog watch, and whipping out those innards and replacing them with a digital interior immediately cheapens the watch for me, and makes it feel like a bit of a knock off.

The Tag Heuer Connected weighs in at 52 grams and measures 46mm wide and 12.8mm thick and is includes a directional wind and weather monitor and it is IP67 certified for dust and water resistance. The three companies unveiled the Connected Android Wear watch today at a grandiose event that also starred the Swiss ambassador to the United States, a large wheel of cheese, and glocken, because Switzerland. The rubber strap comes in six colours, black as standard, and the others sold separately.
Battery life, meanwhile, is stated to last ‘all day, ‘ so don’t expect too much.
The Connected watch is a true watch, both in terms of its appearance, with its watch faces and its minute tracks.
