Talented teenager Pulisic likely to remain US super sub

Christian Pulisic isn’t especially interested in a Liverpool transfer now, and to make matters worse – he’s a Manchester United fan!

However, a transfer for the teenager failed to materialise and he ended up staying at Dortmund beyond the summer transfer window.

The 17 year-old U.S. global has also revealed he followed closely United skipper Wayne Rooney’s career.

“I loved to watch Wayne Rooney, but I would not say I’m the same type of player”.

He continued on the rumours regarding his future and said, “I hear about it”. His passion for the game is something you don’t see much.

“Obviously I’m not completely closed to the world. That was what I loved about him”.

The Merseyside outfit reportedly had a £10m bid rejected by Dortmund for the 17-year-old, who scored two goals in nine appearances for the German club after making his senior debut in February. I wouldn’t say I’m a similar player, though.

The 17-year-old from Pennsylvania is one of the USA’s most exciting talents. I think he’s just looking at every day in training and how we’re performing at the moment.

With Mario Gotze, Andre Schurrle, Emre Mor and Ousmane Dembele added to the squad, Pulisic could be forced to move on in search of first-team football before too long, but for now he’s relishing the fight for a spot in the starting line-up. “It’s a huge club with a lot of good players, so I’m just fighting for my position in the team.”.

Pulisic has made nine Bundesliga appearances already, scoring twice, while he also has three goals in eight global matches for the USA.
