Talk of NYC event has Clinton, Sanders at standstill over debate
The first additional debate will take place in New Hampshire on Thursday.

After the Iowa caucus left Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders separated by only a handful of votes late into the night, experts say there’s now more focus on the upcoming debate in Milwaukee than ever.
The two sides have been debating more debates for about a week now, ever since Clinton announced she would attend the MSNBC debate.
The Vermont senator called Clinton part of “establishment politics and establishment economics” in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
In addition to the New Hampshire debate, which comes just days before Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, Sanders said he wanted three more debates.
The analyst accused Clinton of copying her main rival’s agenda, citing Sanders’ better track record “of being true to form” as the reason.
Over the weekend, though, the DNC relented and sanctioned the new debate.
“So I think that there is a little bit of fear that she can be exposed on many issues that she has backpedalled on and I think that Bernie is absolutely right in wanting these questions and asking people to pay attention to the issues that people should be paying attentions to rather than what the media wants”, Rozzo continued.
Sanders is now trailing Hillary Clinton in the Iowa caucus.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC)-sanctioned debate will be held in the Helen Bader Concert Hall in the Helene Zelazo Center for Performing Arts. After BuzzFeed reported last week that MSNBC was seeking to organize the February 4 debate in New Hampshire, the Clinton campaign quickly agreed to participate.
Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta responded that there is “nothing worse than a debate about debates” and said the Sanders campaign’s demands had been met. When asked to confirm a Washington Post report that put the April debate in Pennsylvania, he said his campaign “would still also like one in NY”.
