Abraham joined Chelsea at the age of eight and, after progressing through the ranks, played a key role in the club’s UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup successes in 2015 and 2016.

Abraham, who is capped at England Under-19 level, has made two first-team appearances for Chelsea, both of which were during last season under interim manager Guus Hiddink.

Abraham featured against Liverpool and Leicester City.

Chelsea have today confirmed that Tammy Abraham will join Bristol City on a one-year loan, the official website reports.

Championship side City want to take him to Ashton Gate on a season-long deal and hope the move will be finalised soon.

The England Under-19 worldwide was a part of the Young Lions squad at the UEFA Youth European championship and was also part of Conte’ pre-season squad.

“I’d like to thank Chelsea for their support in this deal”. “I know it will be harder to do that (in the Championship) because it’s a new challenge and not something I’m used to, but I’ll have to adapt and do my best for Bristol City”. It’s been non-stop football all summer.

Bristol finished 18th in their first season back in England’s second tier last season.
