Calls to a number listed for Club Rayne – described by online reviewers as “adult entertainment” with a “clean environment” – went unanswered Saturday afternoon.
No information has been released about who was responsible for the shooting.
No other details were immediately available and the identities of the victims or the shooter have not yet been revealed.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
A video posted on social media, purportedly shot by a guest at the strip club, shows dozens of people inside the club dancing under dim lights before gun shots and screams are heard.
“There’s a lot of very upset people here”, the Tampa police spokeswoman said Saturday morning. Authorities said they did not yet have information if anyone was killed.
Police said Nebraska Avenue between Bird Street and Sitka Avenue would be closed to traffic until about 7:30 a.m.

The owner of the club, Roberto Mederos, declined to comment.
