Tannehill helps Dolphins improve to 2-0 under coach Campbell

New England will be a tough test for this revamped offense next week, but big wins in the division and on the road will prove that these past two wins against below average teams were not flukes.

“Honestly, we’re just going and competing, just playing ball, ballin’ ” Grimes said. Today they went into halftime up 41-0, last week they went into halftime 17-3.

The Dolphins made it 14-0 on a spectacular 50-yard catch and run by Landry, who caught a quick out near the left sideline and almost stepping out of bounds.

The Miami Dolphins (3-3) were rejuvenated in a win over Houston, 44-26, in Week 8. Joe Philbin was sacked the next day and replaced by Campbell, the spirited tight ends coach who believed there was plenty of talent on the roster worthy of a turnaround. The Dolphins have blitzed on 13 percent of opponent dropbacks the last two weeks after doing so 35 percent of the time in their first four games. “The Dolphins right now, they’re playing well together and we definitely gotta be ready for them”. O’Brien is facing the hot seat for his team’s abysmal record and his refusal to draft a quarterback early in the 2014 draft despite available options such as Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr. I’ll admit, I was a non-believer, but Dan Campbell has brought the Miami Dolphins to life.

“Since being selected eighth overall out of Texas A&M in 2012, Tannehill is the only quarterback to start for Miami and probably the best the Dolphins have had since the legendary Dan Marino called it quits after the 1999 season”, This Given Sunday added. Now that they’re winning, can they keep it up?

An upset victory at New England would represent a breakthrough in more ways than one.

Campbell is only the fifth interim coach of 26 in the National Football League since 2000 to win his first two games, according to STATS. “That’s from the top down”.

When the Miami Dolphins scored on their opening possession for the second week in a row, Ryan Tannehill raised his index finger and sprinted down the field more than 50 yards to join the end zone celebration. In two games under Campbell, Miller has posted 354 total yards and three touchdowns.

One of the biggest ways to get under Tom Brady’s skin is to make him play at a faster pace than he’s accustomed to. That dominates the clock and helps both Tannehill and the defense. Houston had six three-and-outs and a pick-six before managing a first down.

“I’d say they’ve simplified it”, Belichick said. They cut him, but that’s the only player that O’Brien has held accountable through the first seven weeks of the season. The Patriots (6-0), meanwhile, are off to their best start since the ideal regular season of 2007 and have lost once in the last 22 home games – including the playoffs.

Even so, Campbell’s players are confident their climb in the standings will continue. “He took over as head coach, and that was one of the first things: ‘There’s a storm coming. We’re going to wake these giants up'”.
