Look away, Lucious! Empire goddess Taraji P. Henson strutted her stuff at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 20.

Terrence Howard, star of the hit series “Empire”, is still being mocked and criticized online for the rambling interview he gave to Rolling Stone for their latest issue, so a little skit he and his co-star Taraji P. Henson came up with for the Emmys 2015 fell short because of it.
Taraji will also be presenting on stage this evening.
“Transparent” emerged as an early victor , capturing a best comedy actor trophy for Jeffrey Tambor and a directing award for its creator, and giving both winners a chance to pay tribute to the show’s trangender themes.
The Emmy Awards are airing live from 8 to 11 p.m. EDT Sunday on Fox.
Bradley Whitford received a guest-actor trophy for his cross-dressing Transparent character at the creative arts Emmys last weekend.
Others vying for that crown are the Netflix series House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. They became competing siblings when the TV academy moved Orange from the comedy to drama category.
It lost to “Game of Thrones“, which became only the second so-called “genre” series, after sci-fi drama “Lost”, to win.
And if “Mad Men” wins its fifth top drama award for its final year, it will stand as the most honored ever.
When it comes to ratings, Fox is counting on more than the audiences love of TV as the attraction. Last year’s 15.6 million viewers was the second-highest total for the period.
Not everyone was preparing to win.
